Miller's the MAN, Journey was...meh
The rescheduled event due to weather conditions was a disappointment, resulting in negative consequences. The biggest downside was the loss of Tower of Power from the lineup. The Mighty Orq, their replacement, made a forgettable attempt. Surprisingly, Stephen Lynch was a bit disappointing as well. They seemed disengaged and robotic, phoning in their performance aside from a few genuine instances of audience engagement. Being the last show of their tour segment, they appeared tired and ready for a break. It's a shame for the Austin fans who expected more. Steve Miller, however, saved the evening and was the highlight of the night! His cool execution and command of the stage had everyone deeply connected post-show. Miller's the MAN! The venue, parking, and traffic control were managed beautifully, with gorgeous weather鈥攁n under-appreciated bonus. Despite the few disappointments, the night was great! 4 out of 5 stars.
